Description

The Lourdes University Lifelong Learning program presented – “Arrrrghhhhh: A History of Piracy on the Great Lakes.” Ellen Kennedy, Education Manager of the National Museum of the Great Lakes. Ms. Kennedy lead individuals on a historical and cultural re-examination of piracy and its implications for understanding Great Lakes history. No parrots or peg legs, but a healthy dose of thievery, mutiny and other unsavory tales that illustrate why Hollywood should reinvent Jack Sparrow and place him on Lake Michigan in 1880!
